Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of organizational and management practices as applied to planning, analysis and evaluation of programs
• Knowledge of pertinent Federal, State, and local laws, codes and regulations
• Knowledge of principles and procedures of academic and instructional program development and administration
• Knowledge of principles and practices of curriculum development and instructional strategies
• Knowledge of current trends, research and development in the area of assignment

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and participate in the instruction for the Diesel & Heavy Equipment Technology program; develop supplemental materials and tests; maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance
• Participate in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, and priorities for the Diesel & Heavy Equipment Technology program including curriculum development and instructional coordination
• Continuously monitor and evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery methods and procedures; assess and monitor workload, administrative and support systems, and internal reporting relationships; identify opportunities for improvement and review with the department chair
• Develop and draft materials necessary for instruction with the direction and approval of the program director
