Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking a Mechanic/Technician to maintain and repair our fleet of diesel tractors, trailers, and forklifts. The role includes preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs with emphasis on safety and documentation.

Starting pay is $32.36 per hour and includes opportunities for certification bonuses, tool reimbursement, and tuition support. Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and relevant diesel maintenance experience.

Qualifications

• One (1) year of vehicle maintenance experience or a maintenance certificate from a recognized program.
• Possession of or near completion of ASE certifications preferred.
• Class A CDL and necessary tools are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and routine maintenance on tractors, trailers, forklifts, and related equipment.
• Conduct basic diagnostics to identify trouble sources and make adjustments for safe operation.
• Document all maintenance work in reports, written and electronic.
• Perform safety inspections and conduct required repair work.
• Assist with paint and body work as needed.
