Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Diesel Maintenance Technician B to inspect, diagnose, repair, and service diesel and non-diesel equipment across our fleet. Responsibilities include chassis and body work, hydraulic and electrical systems, and preventive maintenance on-site and on the road.

The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and timely service to keep drivers on their routes. Relevant ASE certifications or a related automotive degree are a plus, with a strong focus on diagnostic skill and

Qualifications

• 3-5 years in a technician role diagnosing and repairing gasoline and diesel equipment, or graduating from an accredited automotive college/technical school within the next 3 months.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• ASE certifications are a plus but not required.
• Commercial Driver’s License is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel equipment and trucks including chassis, refuse bodies, hydraulic/electrical systems, brakes, engines, HVAC, suspension, drive train and steering.
• Perform basic tire work such as replacement and rotation; service on-site and on-road.
• Identify malfunction sources using electronic tools and complete required training programs.
