Job summary

Rumpke Waste and Recycling is seeking a Vehicle Maintenance Repair Technician to inspect, diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on our fleet to keep trucks safe and on the road. You will read repair manuals, document work, and communicate effectively with drivers and customers.

The role requires basic computer skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with diesel engines and heavy trucks.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret repair manuals, diagrams, and schematics.
• Experience with heavy trucks and diesel engines a plus.
• Must read and speak English well for safety and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform repair and maintenance of fleet vehicles per schedules and DVIRs.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues and perform necessary repairs.
• Complete adjustments, repairs, and component replacements to vehicles and related systems.
• Check and replace fluids and filters as needed.
• Inspect and overhaul electrical, air, and brake systems.
• Perform roadside repairs when qualified.
• Maintain safety devices and housekeeping in the shop.
• Maintain accurate records of time, orders, and parts.
