Job summary

Sysco in Massachusetts is seeking a Fleet Technician to perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and diagnostics on the company fleet. You will diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicle systems to reduce downtime and improve reliability.

The role requires hands-on repair skills, knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems, and the ability to use diagnostic software. Candidates must have a valid driver’s license and be able to work in various shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• 2-year school and 1 year of experience or 3 years of experience in fleet maintenance and repair.
• Current and valid driver's license.
• Annual Inspector Certification, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Responsibilities

• Perform required inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment within planned time tolerances.
• Perform FAI/CVI inspections on all fleet vehicles as per regulations.
• Perform quality preventive maintenance inspections per company methods on all fleet vehicles.
• Perform quality maintenance repairs to maximize safety and reliability of fleet vehicles.
• Address Driver Vehicle Inspection Report write ups timely and efficiently.
• Diagnose causes of malfunctions and repair per manufacturer specifications (engines, transmissions, differential, electrical, etc.).
• Follow procedures including documenting all work performed on work orders.
• Learn and develop efficiency in Sysco computer programs.
