Job summary

Buckhead & Newport Meat and Seafood is seeking a skilled fleet mechanic to perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on our vehicle fleet to maximize safety and reliability. Responsible for inspections (FAI/CVI), electrical and mechanical repairs, and documenting work orders; must have strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety practices.

Qualified candidates will have heavy-duty truck training, a valid CDL preferred, ASE certifications, and the ability to operate diagnostic

Qualifications

• Experience with fleet maintenance and repair
• Valid driver’s license
• ASE certifications preferred
• Knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and preventive maintenance to maximize safety and reliability
• Conduct FAI/CVI inspections on fleet vehicles per regulations
• Repair engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical and HVAC systems
• Document all work on work orders and maintain records
• Diagnose malfunctions and perform manufacturer‑spec repairs
