Job summary

Athens Services is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Technician I to diagnose and repair mechanical issues on our diesel and CNG fleets. You will review Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports, perform roadside repair tasks, and ensure safety and quality standards are met.

The role requires ASE certifications, DOT CHP familiarity, and strong communication abilities. Applicants should have high school diploma or GED, a valid license, and your own tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; ASE certifications preferred.
• Valid Class C license; clean driving record; ability to read/understand technical documentation.
• Experience with DOT CHP repair processes and heavy truck maintenance.
• Must possess personal tools and pass safety/OSHA rules.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and preventive maintenance per Standard Repair Times (SRTs).
• Conduct sophisticated repair work on electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems.
• Triage and diagnose mechanical issues and perform roadside emergency repairs as directed.
• Complete paperwork including parts usage and repair times.
• Maintain safety and compliance training and documentation.
