Responsibilities

• Repairs and keeps diesel, electric, and gasoline trucks running per manuals and safety standards
• Reads job orders and observes trucks to determine malfunctions and plan work procedures
• Installs ignition systems, aligns front wheels, changes or recharges batteries, replaces transmissions and other parts
• Overhauls gas or diesel engines with tools, welding equipment and standard charts
• Inspects guards and safety devices, tightens bolts and lubricates moving parts, tests repaired trucks
