Job summary

Sysco Syracuse, LLC is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Technician to keep our fleet safe and reliable through preventive maintenance, inspections, and expert diagnosis.

You will perform required inspections, diagnose faults, repair engines and electrical systems, and document work orders on-site. A valid license and relevant training are required for this full-time position with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

Medium/Heavy Duty truck technical training completed.
High school diploma or GED required.
2-year school and 1 year of experience or 3 years fleet maintenance experience.
Current valid driver\'s license.
Annual Inspector Certification and Brake Inspector Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform inspections and preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles to maximize safety, reliability, and cost efficiency.
Perform Annual (FAI/CVI) inspections on tractors, trailers, and related equipment per regulations.
Diagnose malfunctions and repair engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and HVAC to manufacturer specs.
Document all work on work orders and follow Sysco procedures.
Learn Sysco computer programs and use electrical meter testing.
