Job summary
Sysco Allentown (Division of USA III) seeks a skilled fleet maintenance technician to perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and diagnostics to keep a diverse vehicle fleet safe and reliable. The role involves diagnosing complex mechanical and electrical issues, performing repairs to OEM specifications, and documenting work in company systems.
Requires medium/heavy duty truck training, a valid CDL, and relevant certifications.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Medium / Heavy Duty truck technical training required.
- 2-year school and 1 year of experience or 3 years of experience in fleet maintenance and repair.
- Current and valid driver's license.
- Annual Inspector Certification and Brake Inspector Certification desired.
Responsibilities
- Perform required inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment within planned tolerances.
- Perform FAI/CVI inspections on all fleet vehicles per regulations.
- Diagnose causes and perform repairs to manufacturer specs across engines, transmissions, drive-line, steering, suspension, and HVAC systems.
- Document all work on work orders and learn Sysco computer programs.
- Proficient in electrical meter testing and in using OEM diagnostic software.
