Job summary

Sysco Central California, Inc. is hiring a Fleet Technician II/III trainee to assist in safe, reliable vehicle maintenance and inspections. You will learn to perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs to minimize downtime and improve fleet reliability.

Training under qualified technicians and supervisors, with opportunities to develop skills across engines, transmissions, drivetrains, and electrical systems, is provided. CDL preferred.

Qualifications

• Medium/Heavy Duty truck technical training preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Learn to perform inspections and preventive maintenance to maximize safety and reliability.
• Learn to perform Annual (FAI/CVI) inspections on fleet vehicles and equipment.
• Perform maintenance repairs under supervision to ensure safe operation.
• Document all work on work orders using the standard format.
• Develop efficiency in Sysco computer programs under guidance.
