Job summary

Rumpke Waste & Recycling in Henry County, IN is seeking a Vehicle Maintenance Repair Technician to inspect, diagnose, and repair our fleet to keep trucks safe and operational.

The role covers routine maintenance, troubleshooting, record-keeping, and coordination with customers, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 2pm to 12am. Strong mechanical skills and ability to read repair manuals are required.

Qualifications

• GED or higher required with emphasis on mechanical aptitude.
• Experience with truck/ diesel maintenance preferred.
• Ability to read repair manuals and wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Perform repair and maintenance of fleet vehicles per schedules and DVIRs.
• Diagnose issues and complete necessary repairs and replacements.
• Check and change fluids/filters, inspect safety systems, and drive as needed.
• Maintain records of time, work orders, and parts usage.
