Job summary

Sysco Detroit, LLC is seeking a Fleet Technician to keep our fleet safe, reliable, and efficient. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs across tractors, trailers, and related equipment, ensuring compliance with DOT/FMCSA regulations.

The role requires 2-year technical training with 4–5 years of fleet maintenance experience; CDL is preferred but not required. On-site, full-time position with strong benefits and a $10k sign-on potential.

Qualifications

• 2-year technical training in medium/heavy duty trucks.
• 4–5 years of fleet maintenance/repair experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• CDL preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and preventive maintenance to maximize safety and cost efficiency.
• Conduct annual inspections on fleet vehicles per regulations.
• Repair and diagnose engines, transmissions, drivetrains, brakes, HVAC, and electrical systems.
• Perform electrical repairs and welding as needed.
• Document work on orders and mentor junior technicians.
