Job summary

FedEx Freight, Inc. is seeking a Mechanic/Technician to maintain and repair our fleet of diesel tractors, trailers, forklifts, and related equipment. A starting rate of $31.63 per hour applies, with opportunities for ASE certification bonuses and tuition assistance.

The role requires vigilance in diagnostics, documentation, and safety compliance. The ideal candidate has at least one year of vehicle maintenance experience or a qualifying certificate, owns the necessary tools, and may hold a Class

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• One year of vehicle maintenance experience or certification within 60 days.
• ASE certifications and Class A CDL preferred.
• Must possess necessary tools to perform tasks.
• Valid driver’s license may be required depending on assignment.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive and routine maintenance on tractors, trailers, forklifts, and other equipment.
• Performs basic diagnostics to identify source of trouble and makes adjustments for safe operation.
• Works with other technicians in performing maintenance and repairs.
• Ensures proper and accurate documentation of all maintenance performed, completes reports in writing and electronically.
• Performs safety inspections of equipment and documents the work.
