Job summary

FedEx Freight, Inc. is seeking a Mechanic/Technician to maintain a fleet of diesel tractors, trailers, and forklifts. The role emphasizes preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs to ensure safe, efficient operation.

Candidates with ASE certifications and CDL are preferred; strong tools and basic computer skills are required. Starting rate is $31.63 per hour with potential certification-based increases and a tool reimbursement program.

Qualifications

• HS diploma (or GED) preferred.
• At least 1 year vehicle maintenance experience or related certificate.
• One or more Medium/Heavy Truck ASE Certifications and Class A CDL preferred.
• Must possess necessary tools to perform tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and routine maintenance on tractors, trailers, forklifts, and other equipment.
• Conduct basic diagnostics and adjustments for safe operation.
• Collaborate with team on preventative maintenance and repairs.
• Accurately document maintenance and complete reports.
• Perform safety inspections and paint/body work as required.
• Follow laws, regulations, and company procedures.
