Job summary

FedEx Freight, Inc. seeks a Mechanic/Technician to maintain and repair our diesel fleet, including tractors, trailers, forklifts, and related equipment.

You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs to ensure safe operation and cost efficiency. The role offers competitive hourly pay starting at $30.49, with opportunities for ASE Master Certification bonus, tool reimbursement, and tuition assistance.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills including maintenance programs and diagnostic systems.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• One year vehicle maintenance experience or equivalent certificate program.
• One or more ASE certifications and CDL Class A preferred.
• Completion of FedEx Freight Apprentice Program or related training.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and routine maintenance on tractors, trailers, forklifts, and related equipment.
• Conduct basic diagnostics and adjust equipment for safe operation.
• Collaborate with team to perform preventative maintenance and repairs.
• Document all maintenance accurately in writing and electronically.
• Perform safety inspections and document findings; perform paint/body work as needed.
