Job summary

SRM Concrete (Smyrna Ready Mix) seeks a Fleet Mechanic to maintain a fleet of mixer trucks and heavy equipment. You will perform routine maintenance, diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, and ensure safety compliance.

On-the-job training is available for entry-level applicants, with CDL preferred. Work involves collaborating with operations to minimize downtime, keeping accurate records in company systems, and staying current with diesel technology and repair

Qualifications

• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems as part of fleet maintenance.
• Willingness to pass pre-employment screenings and background checks.
• On-the-job training available for entry-level candidates; CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on diesel engines and equipment, including oil changes and filter replacements.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in mixer trucks, loaders, and other heavy equipment.
• Use diagnostic tools to identify issues and plan repairs; document work in company systems.
• Rebuild or replace major components such as engine parts, starters, and transmissions as needed.
• Coordinate with operations to schedule maintenance and minimize downtime.
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures on-site and at job sites.
