Job summary

Sysco Foods in Ankeny, IA seeks a Fleet Technician to perform preventive maintenance and complex repairs to keep the fleet safe and reliable.

This full-time 3rd shift position offers a sign-on bonus up to $7,500, pay of $32-$38 per hour based on experience, shift differentials, boot and tool allowance, and comprehensive benefits. Candidates should have heavy-duty truck tech training, ASE/EPA certifications where applicable, and be able to work nights, weekends, and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required and valid driver's license (CDL preferred).
• Medium/Heavy Duty truck technical training or equivalent program.
• 5 years of fleet maintenance/repair experience OR 2-year program + 4 years experience; ASE/EPA certifications desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform required inspections and preventive maintenance to maximize safety and reliability.
• Conduct annual inspections (FAI/CVI) on fleet vehicles per regulations.
• Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs per manufacturer specs on engines, trans, HVAC, electrical, brake systems.
• Follow documentation procedures on work orders and maintain tools and equipment.
