SYSCO FOODS in Ankeny, IA is seeking a full-time Fleet Technician to perform preventive maintenance and expert repairs on our fleet, ensuring safety and reliability. The role supports night shifts with a $3/hr differential for the 3rd shift and includes a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

Benefits include a $500 annual tool allowance, uniforms and a boots allowance. A valid driver's license and heavy-duty truck training are required; ASE certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• Relevant education and/or experience in fleet maintenance.
• Valid driver's license.
• ASE certifications preferred; inspector certifications listed are expected.
• Annual Inspector and Brake Inspector certifications required or preferred.

Responsabilités

• Perform inspections and preventive maintenance to maximize safety and reliability.
• Complete annual inspections (FAI/CVI) per regulations for fleet vehicles.
• Diagnose malfunctions and repair engines, transmissions and electrical systems.
• Document all work on orders and learn Sysco computer programs.
• Perform electrical repairs and welding as needed.
• Follow safety and regulatory requirements (DOT/OSHA/environmental).
