Job summary
Sysco is seeking a skilled fleet maintenance technician to perform preventive maintenance and expert repairs on our truck and trailer fleet. Responsibilities include inspections, diagnostics, and addressing DVIR write-ups to ensure safety and reliability.
The role requires training in medium/heavy-duty systems, a valid license, and familiarity with diagnostic software; ASE certifications are a plus and the company offers a comprehensive benefits package.
Qualifications
- Formal training in heavy-duty vehicle technology and a high school diploma or GED are required.
- 2-year school plus 1 year of experience or 3 years in fleet maintenance and repair is expected.
- Current and valid driver's license is required.
- ASE certifications are preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Perform inspections and preventive maintenance to maximize safety and reliability.
- Conduct Annual inspections on tractors, trailers, and equipment per regulations.
- Repair vehicles to manufacturer specs including engines, trans, drive-line, and electrical systems.
- Address Driver Vehicle Inspection Report write ups promptly and efficiently.
- Learn Sysco computer programs and use diagnostic software for OEM components.
