Job summary

Sysco Northeast Rdc is seeking a skilled fleet mechanic in Georgia to provide safe, reliable preventive maintenance and expert repairs for our fleet to minimize downtime. You will diagnose and fix engine, transmission, brake, electrical, and HVAC systems while following all quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities include annual inspections on tractors, trailers and equipment, documenting work orders, and using diagnostic software.

Qualifications

• Medium/Heavy Duty truck technical training required.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform required inspections and preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles and equipment within planned tolerances to maximize safety, reliability and cost efficiency.
• Perform Annual inspections (FAI/CVI) on tractors, trailers, converters and other company-owned equipment per state and federal regulations.
• Perform quality preventive maintenance inspections on all fleet vehicles and equipment.
• Perform repairs to maximize safety and reliability across all vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, drive-lines, brakes and electrical systems.
• Address Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports promptly and accurately.
• Diagnose causes of malfunctions and perform repairs to manufacturer specifications for complex systems.
