Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking a Mechanic/Technician to maintain our diesel tractor fleet, trailers, forklifts, and related equipment, performing preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs to keep operations safe and efficient. The job requires a high school diploma, relevant certificates or apprenticeship, and tools; ASE certifications and Class A CDL are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; relevant vocational training encouraged.
• One year of vehicle maintenance experience or completion of credential program.
• ASE certifications and Class A CDL preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and routine maintenance on tractors, trailers, and forklifts.
• Conduct basic diagnostics and perform necessary repairs for safe operation.
• Document all maintenance activities in writing and electronically.
• Carry out safety inspections and basic paint/body work as needed.
• Work independently or as part of a team, following policies and procedures.
