Job summary

Responsibilities include detailed inspections, servicing, and assisting with repairs, with potential travel within the district.

Qualifications

• Must have basic understanding of truck components and systems.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and interest in vehicle maintenance.
• Able to safely drive fleet vehicles in/out of service areas.
• Good written and verbal communication with coworkers and customers.
• Willingness to learn in various shop environments; hands-on training provided.

Responsibilities

• Receive training to repair and maintain fleet vehicles in a safe, compliant manner.
• Learn to perform detailed inspections, lubrication, and servicing as part of preventive maintenance.
• Check and replace fluids and filters for vehicle parts.
• Inspect electrical, air, and brake systems as part of diagnostics.
• Identify components needing repairs and adjustments; perform basic fixes.
