Job summary
Republic Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician C in Capitol Heights, MD. Under supervision, you perform preventive maintenance on diesel and non-diesel equipment and trucks, using basic knowledge of vehicle systems to perform routine maintenance and repair.
You will tackle daily challenges on a single fleet, receive training in new technologies and equipment, and support our drivers as they run routes. The company offers competitive wages, benefits, and clear paths for professional growth.
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in maintenance.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle systems and routine maintenance.
- Valid driver’s license preferred.
- Completion of a certified diesel maintenance program is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Maintains a basic knowledge of vehicle mechanical/electrical systems for preventive maintenance and simple repairs.
- Performs oil changes, fluid replenishment, light repairs and basic electrical work.
- Completes applicable Company training programs.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
