Job summary

Transdev North America in Capitol Heights, MD, seeks a Light Duty Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines across our diverse vehicle fleet. You will help ensure safety, efficiency, and fleet longevity through hands-on maintenance and careful documentation.

Qualifications

2+ years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred) or equivalent education and experience.
Adhere to state DOT vehicle inspections and safety standards.
Valid driver’s license required.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Comfortable using hand tools and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

Perform limited mechanical repairs under moderate supervision on components such as bulbs, fuses, belts, hoses, and fluids.
Repair brakes, tune-ups, suspensions, transmissions, and drive trains under supervision.
Maintain and document maintenance records and work orders; order parts as needed.
Assist with preventive maintenance and safety inspections; participate in road calls as necessary.
Adhere to Transdev standards, policies and procedures; ensure vehicle safety for customers.
