Horan Hiring Solutions, LLC is seeking a Die Cast Changeover Specialist on the 2nd shift in Cedarburg, WI. The role involves leading die changes, setting precise process parameters, and troubleshooting hydraulic/pneumatic systems on high-pressure aluminum die casting equipment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years tenure at each previous employer.
• Hands-on setup/changeover in high-pressure aluminum die casting or heavy industrial manufacturing.
• Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting skills.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• High School Diploma or GED; vocational training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute die changes and tooling setups for high-pressure aluminum die casting machines and auxiliary automation equipment.
• Set process parameters including melt temperatures, hydraulic pressures, shot speeds, intensification rates, and cycle timing.
• Rig, align, and install dies, trim tools, shot-end components, plunger systems, and cooling/lubrication lines using overhead cranes and forklifts.
• Troubleshoot setup, machine, or casting defects to optimize cycle times and eliminate scrap.
• Inspect hydraulic, pneumatic, water/cooling, and automated spray/ladle systems prior to production sign-off.
• Coordinate with Quality and Production for first-piece inspection approvals.
• Rigorously follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and crane safety protocols during setups and teardowns.
