Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care seeks a part-time, entry-level Registered Nurse for the Outpatient CAP 1 designation. You will coordinate care, assess patients undergoing hemodialysis, document in medical records, and participate in education and team activities within the ESKD care setting.

The role involves supervising patient care staff, administering medications, and supporting emergency responses while pursuing CAP requirements for advancement.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current or successful completion of CPR BLS Certification.
• Must meet the practice requirements in the state in which he or she is employed.
• Entry level for RNs with less than 2 years of Nephrology Nursing experience.
• Chronic/acute hemodialysis experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate clinically competent care, including assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation.
• Document data in patient medical record and adjust treatment plan as needed.
• Educate patients and families on learning needs.
• Administer medications per prescriptions or approved algorithms.
• Direct and supervise daily delivery of hemodialysis therapy.
