Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in the United States is seeking an entry-level Registered Nurse for the Outpatient CAP1 designation. You’ll provide and coordinate clinically competent care for an assigned patient group, with focus on assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation during hemodialysis.

As part of the End Stage Kidney Disease team, you will educate patients and families, perform care under supervision, document in chart, and collaborate with RNs, LVNs/LPNs and technicians.

Qualifications

• RN must be licensed in the state and able to practice.
• Entry-level RN CAP1 with less than 2 years Nephrology nursing experience.
• Must have a minimum of 9 months experience as an RN and 3 months in chronic/acute hemodialysis.
• CPR/BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments and document in the patient medical record.
• Provide and coordinate care during hemodialysis under supervision.
• Educate patients and families on care plans and treatment options.
• Document updates to the nursing assessment and plan of care with the Interdisciplinary Team.
• Assist with emergency response measures as needed.
• Collaborate with RNs, LVN/LPNs, and Patient Care Technicians.
