Job summary

Fresenius Kidney Care is seeking an entry-level Registered Nurse for the Clinical Advancement Program (CAP 1) in an outpatient dialysis setting in Summerville, SC. You will provide comprehensive nursing care, including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation for assigned patients, while collaborating with the care team.

As part of the ESKD health care team, you will engage in teaching, leadership, and quality improvement activities, with CAP requirements for advancement and ongoing

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing and current state licensure.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Entry level RN with less than 2 years of nephrology nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate clinically competent care including assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Document patient data in the medical record and adjust treatment plans; notify supervisors as needed.
• Educate patients and families about care, treatment options and transplantation.
• Direct and provide safe delivery of hemodialysis therapy with the care team.
• Administer medications per protocol and document justification and effects.
• Support staff training and orient new staff as assigned.
• Ensure accurate lab collection, processing and shipping procedures.
