Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Hayward, WI seeks an entry level RN to join the Clinical Advancement Program as CAP 1. You will provide and coordinate clinically competent care for dialysis patients and collaborate with the health care team to support patient outcomes.

The role includes on-the-job training, orientation, and CAP advancement requirements, with daily duties such as data collection, patient education, and safe delivery of hemodialysis therapy.

Qualifications

• Entry level for RNs with less than 2 years of Nephrology Nursing experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Chronic/acute hemodialysis experience (preferred).
• Fresenius Medical Care maintains a drug-free workplace in accordance with applicable federal and state laws.

Responsibilities

• Perform data collection and analysis during hemodialysis for assigned patients.
• Assess and document patient/family education needs and provide ongoing education.
• Direct the delivery of safe and effective hemodialysis therapy in collaboration with the care team.
• Administer medications as prescribed and document effectiveness.
• Assist with emergency response measures as needed.
• Serve as a resource for staff training and orientation.
• Ensure proper laboratory collection, processing and documentation.
