Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Middletown, OH, seeks an entry-level Registered Nurse (RN CAP 1) for the Outpatient RN CAP program. The role provides and coordinates clinically competent care for an assigned group of patients undergoing hemodialysis, under supervision.

Responsibilities include data collection during dialysis, documentation in the medical record, education for patients and families, medication administration, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Entry level for RNs with less than 2 years of nephrology nursing experience.
• Chronic/acute hemodialysis experience preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current state licensure and CPR/BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze patient data during pre-, during-, and post-hemodialysis and document in the medical record.
• Administer medications as prescribed and document justification and effectiveness.
• Educate patients and families on care plans and transplant/treatment options.
• Coordinate daily dialysis care with RNs, LVN/LPNs and PCTs for safe, effective therapy.
