Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Hartford, CT is seeking an entry-level registered nurse for the Outpatient RN CAP 1 designation. You will join the Clinical Advancement Program to provide and coordinate clinically competent care for an assigned group of patients during hemodialysis.

Responsibilities include assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation, documentation, patient and family education, and administration of medications as prescribed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• CPR BLS Certification.
• Must meet practice requirements in the state of employment.
• Entry level for RNs with less than 2 years of Nephrology Nursing experience.
• Chronic/acute hemodialysis experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate clinically competent care including assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation for an assigned group of patients.
• Collaborate with RN/LVN/LPN/PCT staff to deliver safe hemodialysis therapy.
• Educate patients and families about care plans.
• Administer medications as prescribed and document effectiveness.
