Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care, a leading provider of dialysis services, seeks an entry-level Registered Nurse for the Clinical Advancement Program (CAP) in an outpatient setting. You will assess, plan, intervene and evaluate care for an assigned patient group, with possible delegation to care staff, and contribute to quality improvement within the facility.

You will collaborate with the End Stage Kidney Disease care team, participate in teaching and leadership activities, and complete CAP requirements

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current or successful completion of CPR BLS Certification.
• Must meet the practice requirements in the state in which he or she is employed.

Responsibilities

• Performs data collection and documents in the patient record; adjusts the treatment plan as indicated.
• Collaborates with the health care team and educates patients/families on learning needs.
• Delivers safe and effective hemodialysis therapy under supervision.
• Administers medications as prescribed or per approved algorithm and documents effectiveness.
• Initiates or assists with emergency response measures.
• Contributes to staff training and orientation of new staff.
