Job summary

U.S. Renal Care is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join a cross-functional team delivering dialysis treatment under RN or Charge Nurse supervision. You will work directly with patients to provide safe, comfortable dialysis and collect patient stats before and after treatment.

Responsibilities include preparing machines, cleaning and disinfecting equipment, and performing safety checks with strict adherence to protocols. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and ongoing education.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Desire to work in healthcare and care for patients in need.
• Previous healthcare experience in dialysis, phlebotomy, or as a CNA is a plus.
• Successful completion of USRC training program approved by the Medical Director, within 8 weeks of hire.
• Successful completion of USRC training course in the theory and practice of hemodialysis within 8 weeks of hire.
• CPR certification required within 90 days of hire or as required by the state.
• Patient Care Technician certification must be obtained within 18 months of hire date and maintained in good standing thereafter.
• Ability to distinguish all primary colors
• Must be comfortable with mixing acids and bicarbonate according to protocol.

Responsibilities

• Patient care. You will work directly with patients to provide safe, comfortable, and high-quality dialysis treatment.
• Technician Duties. You will prepare machines, clean and disinfect after treatment, and conduct machine safety checks.
• Safety and Quality. You will follow PPE rules, company policies, and state/federal regulations; participate in meetings and continuing education.
