Job summary

US Renal Care in Waipahu, Hawaii is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join a cross-functional care team. You will assist in delivering safe dialysis treatments, monitor patients, and perform machine setup and safety checks under RN or CN supervision.

The role requires a high school diploma, healthcare interest, and willingness to obtain required certifications (CPR, USRC training, state/national certification within specified timelines). Competitive benefits apply.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Desire to work in healthcare and care for patients.
• Previous healthcare experience in dialysis, phlebotomy, or as a CNA is a plus.
• Must be comfortable mixing acids and bicarbonate according to protocol.
• Ability to distinguish all primary colors.
• USRC training program approved by the Medical Director within 8 weeks of hire.
• CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
• State certification program or national certification within 18 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, comfortable dialysis treatment and assist patients.
• Gather patient stats before and after treatment, initiate, monitor, terminate treatment, and collect blood samples per orders.
• Prepare machines for hemodialysis, clean/disinfect, perform safety checks and log results.
• Follow safety measures and company policies; participate in staff meetings and continuing education.
