Job summary

U.S. Renal Care in Hawaii seeks a dedicated Patient Care Technician to join a cross-functional team delivering dialysis treatment under the supervision of an RN or Charge Nurse. You will collect patient stats, initiate and monitor treatment, and ensure high-quality care.

You will prepare machines, disinfect after use, and perform machine safety checks with quality control logging. You will follow safety protocols, wear PPE, and participate in required trainings and meetings.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Desire to work in healthcare and care for patients.
• Previous healthcare experience in dialysis, phlebotomy, or as a CNA is a plus.
• Must be comfortable mixing acids and bicarbonate according to protocol.
• Ability to distinguish all primary colors.
• CPR certification required within 90 days of hire or as required by the state.
• Patient Care Technician certification must be obtained through a state certification program or national program within 18 months of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality dialysis treatment and collect patient stats before and after treatment.
• Prepare machines for hemodialysis treatments, clean and disinfect machines, and perform safety checks with QC logging.
• Follow safety measures and PPE; adhere to company policies and state/federal laws; participate in meetings and education offerings.
