Job summary

US Renal Care is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join our dialysis team, working under RN or Charge Nurse supervision to deliver essential dialysis care. You will collect vitals, initiate and monitor treatment, and ensure machine readiness and safety while maintaining strict protocols.

The role requires a high school diploma, healthcare interest, and relevant certifications; training is provided, CPR must be completed within 90 days, and a PCT certification must be obtained within 18

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Desire to work in healthcare and care for patients.
• Previous healthcare experience in dialysis, phlebotomy, or as a CNA is a plus.
• Must be comfortable mixing acids and bicarbonate according to protocol.
• Ability to distinguish all primary colors.
• Complete USRC training program approved by the Medical Director within 8 weeks of hire.
• CPR certification required within 90 days of hire.
• PCT certification must be obtained within 18 months of hire and maintained thereafter.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, comfortable, high-quality dialysis treatment to patients.
• Gather patient stats before and after treatment, initiate and monitor treatment, and collect blood samples per physician orders.
• Prepare machines, clean and disinfect after treatment, and conduct machine safety checks with logging for quality control.
• Follow safety measures and comply with all policies, procedures, and laws; participate in staff meetings and continuing education.
