Job summary

U.S. Renal Care is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to join our dialysis team in a fast-paced clinical setting. You will deliver safe, patient-centered dialysis care, monitor vitals, and assist in treatment under RN supervision to ensure quality outcomes for patients with kidney disease.

The role emphasizes machine preparation, sanitation, safety checks, and adherence to state/federal regulations. CPR and PCT certifications are required or pursued per policy.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Desire to work in healthcare and care for patients.
• Previous healthcare experience in dialysis, phlebotomy, or as a CNA is a plus.
• Ability to safely mix and prepare chemical solutions following strict safety protocols
• Ability to distinguish all primary colors.
• CPR certification required within 90 days of hire or as required by the state.
• Patient Care Technician certification must be obtained within 18 months of hire and maintained thereafter.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, comfortable, and high-quality dialysis treatment; gather vitals before/after treatment, initiate, monitor, terminate, and collect samples per physician orders.
• Prepare machines for hemodialysis, clean and disinfect, conduct safety checks and log results; follow all protocols and regulations; use appropriate PPE.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team under supervision of a Charge Nurse; participate in staff meetings and ongoing education.
