Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an entry-level Registered Nurse for the Outpatient RN CAP 1 designation. This role provides and coordinates clinically competent care for an assigned patient group within the Clinical Advancement Program, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation during hemodialysis.

The RN will work under supervision to document data, adjust plans, educate patients and families, administer medications, respond to emergencies, and participate in quality

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current or successful CPR BLS Certification.
• Entry level for RNs with less than 2 years of Nephrology Nursing experience.
• Chronic/acute hemodialysis experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze patient data during hemodialysis and document in the medical record.
• Adjust treatment plans as indicated and notify team as needed.
• Educate patients and families about learning needs.
• Deliver safe and effective hemodialysis therapy under supervision.
• Administer medications as prescribed and document effectiveness.
• Assist with emergency response measures.
• Serve as a resource and participate in staff training.
• Ensure proper lab collection, processing, and shipping.
• Update nursing assessment and care plan with the interdisciplinary team.
• Provide transplant and treatment modality information to patients.
