Fresenius Medical Care Outpatient RN CAP 2 is an entry level designation into the Clinical Advancement Program for nurses who meet CAP 2 criteria or advance from CAP 1. The role is accountable for provision and coordination of clinically competent care including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation for an assigned patient group.

Qualifications

• Nephrology nursing experience is preferred.
• RN CAP 2 entry level path or advancement from RN CAP 1.
• State RN licensure and CPR/BLS certification are required.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing duties under supervision to provide hemodialysis care.
• Collect, analyze, and document patient data around dialysis sessions.
• Educate patients and families on care basics and treatment options.
• Coordinate delivery of safe and effective hemodialysis therapy with the care team.
• Administer meds as prescribed and document justification and effectiveness.
• Participate in education and quality improvement activities.
