Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an entry-level RN CAP 2 in an outpatient setting. The role involves providing and coordinating clinically competent care for an assigned group of patients within the End Stage Kidney Disease (ESKD) health care team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current or successful completion of CPR BLS Certification
• Must meet the practice requirements in the state in which he or she is employed.

Responsibilities

• Performs all essential functions under supervision and with guidance from the Clinical Educator, Preceptor or in collaboration with other Registered Nurses.
• Collects and analyzes patient data during hemodialysis and documents in the patient medical record, makes adjustments to the plan of care as indicated.
• Provides education to patients and family about learning needs and care.
• Delivers safe and effective hemodialysis therapy in collaboration with PCTs and other staff.
• Administers medications as prescribed or per approved algorithms and documents rationale.
• Initiates or assists with emergency response measures.
• Mentors and supports new staff and serves as a resource at facility and area level.
• Completes CAP requirements to maintain or advance.
