Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Massachusetts seeks an entry-level RN for the Outpatient RN CAP 1 program. You will provide clinically competent care, perform dialysis-related assessments, and coordinate patient education under the supervision of senior staff.

The role includes working with an interdisciplinary team, complying with nursing standards, and progressing through CAP requirements while delivering high-quality renal care services.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current or successful completion of CPR BLS Certification.
• Must meet the practice requirements in the state in which he or she is employed.
• Entry level RN with less than 2 years of nephrology nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs essential functions under supervision and guidance.
• Collects and analyzes patient data during dialysis and documents in medical record.
• Educates patients and families about learning needs.
• Delivers safe and effective hemodialysis therapy for assigned patients.
• Administers medications per prescription or approved algorithms.
• Initiates or assists with emergency response measures.
• Acts as a resource for the healthcare team and trains new staff.
• Ensures proper lab specimen collection and processing.
