Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Massachusetts seeks an entry-level Registered Nurse for the Outpatient CAP 1 program, focusing on comprehensive dialysis care and patient education. You will assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate outcomes for dialysis patients, coordinating with RNs, LVN/LPNs, and technicians.

The role involves direct patient care in a health care setting, potential for leadership tasks, and ongoing CAP education to advance. Travel to training sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current or successful CPR/BLS Certification.
• Must meet the practice requirements in the state employed.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessment and develop care plans for dialysis patients.
• Administer medications per physician orders or approved protocols and document effectiveness.
• Monitor patient responses during hemodialysis and adjust treatment as needed.
• Educate patients and families about treatment options and care plans.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, quality care.
• Lead/assist in training new staff and perform duties as assigned.
