Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care's Waconia clinic seeks an entry-level Outpatient RN CAP 1 to join the Clinical Advancement Program. Responsibilities include assessing, planning, and coordinating care for dialysis patients, with supervision and opportunities for leadership and teaching.

The role supports on-the-job training with no prior dialysis experience required, and offers 20 hours per week at the Waconia location plus 20 hours floating to sister clinics. Part-time opportunity if dialysis-experienced.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current or successful CPR BLS Certification.
• Entry level for RNs with less than 2 years of Nephrology Nursing experience.
• Chronic/acute hemodialysis experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Performs nursing duties under supervision and guidance.
• Collects and analyzes patient data during dialysis and adjusts care plan as needed.
• Provides patient and family education and supports learning needs.
• Delivers safe hemodialysis therapy to assigned patients.
• Administers medications as prescribed or per approved protocols.
• Initiates or assists with emergency response measures.
• Serves as a resource and participates in staff training and orientation.
• Coordinates with the interdisciplinary team to update care plans.
