Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an entry level Registered Nurse for the Outpatient RN CAP 1 program in Elk River, Minnesota. The role focuses on assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation for a group of patients within the End Stage Kidney Disease care team.

You will coordinate care, educate patients and families, and support ongoing quality improvement. The position requires RN licensure in the state, CPR/BLS certification, and on-site clinical training.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current or successful CPR BLS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation for patients under supervision.
• Document data collection and updates to care plans in the medical record.
• Educate patients and families on care needs and treatment options.
• Administer medications as prescribed and monitor effectiveness.
• Provide safe, effective hemodialysis therapy and respond to emergencies.
