Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an entry-level Registered Nurse (RN CAP 1) for outpatient care. The role supports an End Stage Kidney Disease care team, coordinating assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation for designated patients.

12 weeks of dialysis education provided. Full-time with full benefits; no overnights or Sundays. The CAP progression includes teaching, leadership and quality improvement activities in a hospital/clinic setting.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
Current appropriate state licensure.
Current or successful completion of CPR BLS Certification.
Must meet the practice requirements in the state in which employed.

Responsibilities

Perform essential nursing functions under supervision.
Collect and analyze patient data during hemodialysis; adjust treatment plan as needed.
Educate patients and families on care and learning needs.
Provide safe delivery of hemodialysis therapy and collaborate with care staff.
Administer medications as prescribed.
Initiate or assist with emergency response measures.
Serve as a resource for health care team and participate in staff training.
Ensure proper lab collection and documentation of care.
