Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an entry-level Registered Nurse for the Outpatient RN CAP 1 track in a dialysis setting. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for an assigned group of dialysis patients and work with RNs, LVNs/LPNs, and Patient Care Technicians to deliver high-quality services.

The role requires graduation from an accredited nursing program, current RN licensure, and CPR/BLS certification, with a focus on haemodialysis care and CAP progression.

Qualifications

• Entry-level RN with less than 2 years of nephrology nursing experience.
• Dialysis experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs all essential functions under supervision and with guidance from the clinical educator or RN team.
• Collects and analyzes patient data during pre-, during-, and post-hemodialysis and documents in the chart; adjusts treatment plan as needed.
• assesses and documents patient/family learning needs to provide initial and ongoing education.
• Directs and provides safe delivery of hemodialysis therapy in collaboration with care staff.
• Administers medications as prescribed and documents justification and effectiveness.
• Initiates or assists with emergency response measures.
• Serves as a resource and participates in staff training and orientation.
• Ensures proper laboratory collection, processing, and shipping; reschedules missed collections.
• Updates nursing assessment and plan of care with Interdisciplinary Team.
• Ensures patient awareness of transplant and modality options.
• Completes CAP requirements to advance.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Education

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing

Current state RN licensure
