Fresenius Medical Care in Smyrna, GA is hiring an entry-level Registered Nurse in the Outpatient CAP program to coordinate and deliver nephrology care for an assigned patient group. You will assess, plan, intervene and evaluate, collaborating with RNs, LVN/LPNs and patient care technicians.

As part of the ESKD care team, you will participate in decision-making, education, leadership functions and quality improvement activities to enhance patient outcomes and facility operations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current or successful CPR BLS Certification.
• Must meet the practice requirements in the state in which he or she is employed.
• Entry level for RNs with less than 2 years of Nephrology Nursing experience.

Responsabilités

• Performs all essential functions under the direction of the Supervisor and with guidance from the Clinical Educator, Preceptor or in collaboration with other Registered Nurses.
• Performs ongoing collection and analysis of patient data during hemodialysis and documents in the medical record.
• Assesses and documents patient/family learning needs and provides initial education.
• Directs daily provision of safe and effective hemodialysis therapy for assigned patients.
• Administers medications as prescribed and documents justification and effectiveness.
• Initiates or assists with emergency response measures.
• Serves as a resource and participates in training of staff.
• Ensures correct laboratory collection, processing and shipping procedures are performed.

Formation

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing

Current appropriate state licensure

Current or successful CPR BLS Certification
