Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care Smyrna, TN seeks an entry-level Registered Nurse to join the Clinical Advancement Program as CAP 1. The role involves assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation for an assigned patient group within the dialysis setting.

You will collaborate with RNs, LVN/LPNs and Patient Care Technicians to deliver safe hemodialysis and contribute to continuous quality improvement within the facility.

Qualifications

• Entry level RN with CAP designation.
• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure and CPR/BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing care under supervision and with guidance from Educator, Preceptor, or RN team.
• Collect and analyze patient data during hemodialysis and document in medical records.
• Assess learning needs and educate patients and families.
• Direct and provide safe dialysis under collaboration with care staff.
• Administer medications as prescribed or per approved algorithms and document effectiveness.
• Participate in emergency responses and staff training.
