Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an entry-level Registered Nurse for the Outpatient CAP 1 program in Springfield, IL. The RN will provide and coordinate clinically competent care for an assigned group of patients, mentor staff, and participate in quality improvement activities with the ESKD care team.

Responsibilities include data collection during hemodialysis, education for patients and families, administering medications, and ensuring safe, effective therapy under supervision.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• CPR BLS certification current or completed.
• Must meet practice requirements where employed.

Responsibilities

• Performs nursing duties under supervision and guidance of clinical educator and team leaders.
• Collects and analyzes patient data during hemodialysis, adjusts care plan as needed.
• Educates patients and families on learning needs.
• Directs safe delivery of hemodialysis therapy and assists with emergencies.
• Documents labs, treatments, and plan of care with interdisciplinary team.
• Supports transplant and treatment modality discussions with patients.
• Completes CAP requirements to advance within the program.
